Initial Consultation
-
We always start off behaviour modification with an initial consultation session.
-
The first step is an on-boarding call, where I will chat with you regarding your dog's history, habits, schedule and current lifestyle. You may also get some exercises to train before the in-person consultation so that we can take off running on the day.
-
We will then have a one-to-one consultation where I will observe the dog and their behaviour. As I observe your dog, I may try a few things, ask more questions and see if there are any immediate interventions that we can put into place to start addressing the underlying cause of your dog's behaviour.
-
We will then discuss your individual behaviour plan, so that we are both clear and happy with the road ahead. You may also be requested to complete a clinical evaluation with your dog's vet, if it is deemed necessary.
-
Your personal behaviour plan and report will be emailed to you and we can then commence with further behavioural consults to correct the unwanted behaviour.
Follow-Up Behaviour Consults
-
Where appropriate, we will schedule in follow-up sessions to check how you are progressing through the training plan, take you through the next steps, and make adjustments and tweaks to the plan if/where needed.
-
In these sessions, you can also ask any questions that you may have and we will give you as much support as we can to help you and your dog.
-
You may also be asked to send through videos between training sessions, where we will provide feedback and ensure that you are both progressing well.
-
If you have any questions in between sessions, you are also welcome to contact us, either by email or on Whatsapp.
